Your hunt will start out with a brief introduction to all the equipment and methods which will be used throughout the night.  You will then be able to practice throwing the harpoon if necessary.  We will start by driving the outskirts of the lake while shinning a spot light.  When a gator is spotted the driver will notify you and the hunt is on.  Your guide will attempt to get you within throwing range before the gator goes under.  From here many circumstances may arise.  Many times the gator will go under and other tactics are used.  When the situation is right we will try and snag the gator with a treble hook.  If successful the gator will be slowly brought in close enough to be stuck with a harpoon.  When the gator is harpooned a rope and jug will be thrown out and trailed.  Eventually the gator will be pulled in close enough to the boat to be hit with a bang stick.  Many times the gator will not submerge and the hunter will have an opportunity to throw the harpoon.  However, every gator is different and your individual hunt will be unique.
